Lovely Large Old Farmhouse. Newly converted to a B&B and the bedrooms/bathrooms are more like a hotel. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms brand new and state of the art! Great views of the sound. Mine host is a butcher.....and breakfast reflects that. Most welcoming and generous hostess.

Heather and Tom are the best hosts we have ever had. Fabulous people, accommodation view from our room overlooked the water, comfy bed, modern clean bathroom and amazing cooked breakfast in the morning. What more could you want?

Heather and Tom are absolutely lovely. I loved my stay in their B&B. The mattress is soooo comfy, bedroom/bathroom very clean so as commun area. I absolutely recommend you to stay there!!!

Heather and Tom were very friendly and couldn't do enough to please. We were made very welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Location suited us perfectly - sea view and halfway between family members we had come to visit.

We had a wonderful time when we stayed with our family at Mallard Cottage at Christmas. Heather and Tom couldn’t do enough for us, we even arrived to a fridge full of food including enough meat from their Butchers to give us a welcoming Ulster Fry and much more. The cottage was equipped with everything we could have asked for, very comfortable and homely, the surroundings were perfect with beautiful views of Belfast Lough. We will definitely stay on here again on our next visit home.

At a family wedding on sat 22nd aug. The place was amazing food was outstanding and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. They should be very proud of themselves. Would recommend this b&b to anyone who would like a short or long stay. Thankyou all for a great day ?

Heather was the perfect hostess. Her hospitality was warm and exemplary. The room was full of elegance from a bygone era with a stunning view of the palm trees and the sea beyond. Delicious cooked breakfast was served with linen tablecloth and fine china and silver teapot and silver cutlery. My heart was warmed by the beautiful and civilised setting.

We got married here on 20th August and cannot recommend the venue, expertise and service that Heather and Tom provided!
Everything was so beautiful and effortless and the day was beyond anything we could of ever imagined down to the last detail.
Every one of our guests commented on how amazing the venue, staff and owners were and all had a brilliant day!
Altahammond needs to be seen in person and once you have met Heather it will be so difficult to trust anyone else to help you plan your big day!!

Stayed 4 nights in the B&B, room was lovely and well equipped.
Superb views and a really convenient location close to many attractions. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for a return visit. Thanks Heather and Tom.
